I’m now totally addicted to Japanese tv drama Galileo while waiting for Bleach.
It only has 10 episodes! Japanese tv series are usually shorter than Hong Kong and Korean tv series but 10 episodes? I hope there’ll be 2nd season!
Each episode is about baffling paranormal events that passionate rookie detective, Utsumi Kaoru (big eyes Shibasaki Kou) asking cold physic lecturer and genius, Yukawa Manabu with nickname Tantei Galileo (Fukuyama Masaharu) to help her solving cases. Actually he truly regrets knowing his classmate who was Kaoru’s senior who had moved on to greener pastures. If he hadn’t known him, then he wouldn’t be asked to assist in solving the puzzles in scientific way, then he wouldn’t be bugged by Kaoru. He can’t concentrate on his current experiments! Haha!
I don’t get why he has such a bad-ass evil laugh HA HA HAHAHAHA and why he makes 3-finger gesture on his face. To be yau ying, I guess. Freaky. I suspect the formulas are just for show. They sure look smart & pretty on cars, walls, tables but are they real? *shrug*
Each episode will show Manabu’s outside talents like crafting, boxing, etc. Why is there nothing about Kaoru’s hobby or her personal life? Even her going to the fortune teller is related to a case.
But brilliant ideas and script. The supporting actors are quite good and natural in their acting. Love the stories! The theme song and the MTV in the end’s very cool - the way formulas surround us.
