In the cinema

Read sulz At The Movies and there’s no tag but heh, I like going to the cinema to watch movies.

1. I think watching movie is more worth the $ on Wed when it’s either RM7 or RM6 (harder to find these days) than full price RM11 or RM10.

2. I like watching movies alone and with friends. They are just different experiences. Alone, I don’t have to care NOT to sniff or control my tears. With other people, we can enjoy the same scenes together.

3. I wish our censorships relax on kissing and love scenes. There are so many violence in movies that aren’t cut but love scenes suffer more cuts. It’s even worse in tv but that’s another post.

4. Don’t buy popcorn and not a fan of popcorn but if friends buy it, I’m ok with sharing the food & price. Don’t buy cold drinks into cinema either for health & financial reasons.

5. I don’t buy DVD or VCD save for 1 movie which is still in the original plastic wrap.

6. Definately would “Shhh” / “Quiet!”, glare or tell the person to stop behaving badly in the cinema. It’s everyone’s right to have peace in the cinema. Would go out to report glitches if I sit at the side or if it’s easy to go out. Think every cinema hall should have a bell to alert the staff of any problem.

7. Love action, thriller, comedy, romance, animation, musical, international movies, etc. Love horror too but dare not watch ghost, damn damn. Murder and vampires would be fine. Appreciate animation for the efforts in creating one – it is tougher than human actors & real sceneries! This was developed from projects during Degree where we had to use Macromedia to create short movie by creating the entities in the virtual world!

8. Hate movies that demean women.

9. Would stay back for post credit scenes. If I miss them, I’d YouTube them :p

10. Nowadays, I prefer streaming to watching movies. Of course, I’d only stream movies that are no longer showing in the cinema or for movies that I do not think they are worth watching in the cinema.
