Went for both L’Oreal Consumer Warehouse Sale and L’Oreal Luxury Warehouse Sale (250408).
L’Oreal Consumer Warehouse Sale
Since I was early 1/2hr, I went to eat breakfast at 1 of the mamak stores. Mee hoon for RM1 only! Cheap. The Indian uncle could speak Cantonese. When Car reached the area, it was already raining heavily. I told her to go to the mamak & we could go in together.
She asked, “Where got mamak?”
“Got.. 1 at the middle road.”
“Err.. What’s the landmark?”
“Got Johnson & Johnson.”
Then it hit me. I didn’t see CSA sign! Mixed up the location for Consumer with another warehouse sale and ended up on the other side of Selangor.
Had to look for taxi or bus. Ah, no taxi in the factory area. Shit.
Asked an old lady if she knew where was CSA and got a blank look. “Tak ahh tau.”
Asked several security guards at a factory there. Got blank look and eyes moving 360°. After discussing among themselves, they turned to me. “Sannnnnnnnnnnnngat jauh. Di sana.” 1 of them pointed to the right. “Kemudian ada bulatan. Tukar kiri.”
They repeated, “Sannnnngat jauh. Tak boleh jalan.”
“Oh ok. TQ.”
Saw a bus stop sign and a bus on the other side of the road. Alas. Wrong direction.
I didn’t have RM2, only RM5 and others. I crossed to the other side and asked the lone person waiting for bus. It was the same old lady earlier! I asked if she had change and she gave RM1 to me. “Tak ada.”
Such a nice lady. I insisted that she changed for me but she said it was ok. Thank you so very much!
I walked further & saw Metro bus approaching.
Asked the driver & conductor if they knew how to go to CSA but they didn’t. “Pergi Kota Raya, Brickfields.”
OK. I could go back to KL, then come to Selangor again. Many buses in KL Sentral.
Luckily I didn’t have to wait long for the bus to CSA.
Car already got some stuff in her plastic bag. Asked her to grab blusher for me 1st. Saw other colours & changed the colour to the 1 that I prefered.
Since it was a working day, it wasn’t fully packed. People could still move around & choose albeit have to take turns at the tables.
So many colours. So lovely!! It was like heaven. I imagine heaven must have a lot of makeup, different colours of crystals, clear sky…
Some of the products were quite new - manufactured from 2007 but there were a few from 2005. The rule for me is NOT to buy liquid products that are more than 1yr. Wanted to get Mineral foundation but na da. Bought some eyeshadows, cleansers for brother, spots lightening products, brow liner, lipstick and was tempted by MORE lipsticks and lipglosses. I loved some of the lipstick colours & textures but I knew I couldn’t finish using them within 6 months or even 1 yr. Besides, I still have several lipsticks at home..
We were both so hungry that we wanted to eat there but was on the wrong side of road. There was massive traffic jam.
Car wondered how some of our ex-colleagues worked here previously. I guess normally the traffic wasn’t this bad.
We decided to eat at Mid Valley since we didn’t want to U-turn. Going for Street Kings (Keanu Reeves, Jay Mohr, Forest Whitaker, Chris Evans) under GSC Buy 1 Free 1. Car had craving for Kim Gary so we went there. I didn’t know they curry cheese menu! Took a long time to reach me though. HOT!! :D Couldn’t finish the whole spaghetti plate.

I reached there later than 10.30am and saw a long queue up to almost Lot 10 from Parkroyal Hotel. OMG. Freaky! Didn’t even enter my mind to queue under the would be hot sun & such a long queue. It wasn’t moving at all.
So I shopped at Sungei Wang. Always loved going to Fashionable Connection’s kiosk. All the glittery hairclips. Gorgeous. They are cheaper than Sinma and Bonita too. The salesgirls are always helpful to show you how to use the clips.
After eating lunch at Times Square, I headed there too. Didn’t time my queueing time but definately not more than 1/2hr.
As I was at the tables where the tables were stored, I saw people in front of me passing their bags to the staffs there. The guy standing at the start of the queue shouted at us, “DON’T PASS YOUR BAG! TAKE YOUR TURN!”
What? Those who need to store the bag with them had to walk to the start of the queue, U-turn & pass the bag to the staff. Why didn’t they make it just 1 straight line there?
The Luxury w/s’s prices had gone up. Not sure if the fragrance samples were going bad but the fragrance smelled different from shopping malls. Maybe it was mixed up in closed room.
Saw Biotherm mask (small tube) at RM30 only. So CHEAP?! Checked out the date. 2003 or 2005. No wonder.
Wanted to get some miniatures but all sold out. Only a handful of Shu Uemura products left.
