Bangkok trip II – Citin Pratunam Hotel review

My initial impression on this hotel in Bangkok trip I post. My inputs in italic.

Official site: Citin Pratunam Hotel

Facilities:

  • A modern Bangkok hotel with facilities to cater to the most discerning traveler. The deco looks modern but not ultra-future.
  • Electronic keycard access for guest rooms and elevators. I suppose it works like this – if you insert into the lift, it will automatically take you up to your floor, which we didn’t test because we were used to pressing our floor ourselves. Handy if you are drunk and have the room key.

How to renew passport

Ever since Nat had forgotten to renew her old passport when we went to Bali a few years back, back when Malaysians still needed a passport that was not expiring within 6 months, we all remembered to check our passports before any travelling. It was a good lesson for all of us, more so for Nat.

Nat & Chai somehow had gotten together and actually ordered AirAsia tickets under promotion to Bangkok. We (our gang including other people than 3 of us) had been saying we wanted to travel somewhere at least once a year again. We hadn’t been travelling together as a big gang since… Bali and we missed travelling together so much since some of us had gotten married and pregnant!

Hair dye

A week after Hair rebonding (2009), I went back there at 11.45am to get hair dye under 1st trial price heheh and the dye process started immediately. No washing hair before that. I hoped the sweat from early morning wouldn’t mix with the dye and go into my brain and cause toxic haha.

Lucky for me, everytime I go there, there’s available hairstylis :D No need to wait. There’s only 2-3 hairstylist and they work long hours.

Then the hairstylist washed hair & she applied something which felt like peppermint (felt nice) but after awhile, it was prickling my scalp. Washed again, hair treatment, washed, blew dry hair and applied oil.

Ha! It was the same red tube for my treatment. At home, I just apply after rinsing the shampoo and leave it until I had finish my bath. Then I’ll rinse the treatment (used as conditioner) off. The different thing is, in the salon, there’s a machine to “treat” hair with “wap” (not steam). It gets warm but not burning hot and then cools down. When it’s time to finish the treatment, it will whistle like old train or kettle. Cute.

It came out brighter brown than I wanted (dark dark brown) :| though I did think of brown hair during the dye. It looked darker in the sample. As time goes by, it will become lighter…It looked even lighter at my home lighting!

Hair is still soft & straight.

Again, skip 1-2 days after treatment before washing hair with shampoo.
