Phuket 4D3N Sep 2016 – Day 1 – Promthep Cape

Promthep Cape = Laem Promthep. We reached here around 3-4pm – finished earlier places much earlier and now we had 3hrs+ to walk this place till sunset. If I were to come here again, I’d come at 5.30pm for 6.30pm sunset. Check online for the sunset timing for better planning.

Weather had been good. Bright sun but windy. So it wasn’t that hot.

Some ppl cross over to the other side.. and get pictures of scenery without any other human.

As time went by, the sky started to turn cloudy gray instead of bright sunset. Uh uh.. Blinding white where sunlight hit the water.

Promthep Cape also has a lighthouse-museum (which you can opt to donate some $ or buy souvenirs, optional). Free entrance (take off your shoes outside). You can go up and stand where the flags are. When I went in the late afternoon, there was only another couple.

Come 6pm (this pic was not yet 6pm), there would be batalians of tour bus carrying Chinese and local tourists!

Going out to the water side again:

Starting to feel tired but sunset wasn’t here yet. Wished for bed …

This one almost made up the “perfect” sunset (except for the gray clouds):

It is very relaxing here .. if you don’t mind lots of ppl looking for sunset, taking selfie/wefie and there was even free music from a guitarist ;)

It’s still one of the best places to visit while in Phuket, regardless of saturated sunset or not.

We went back to Patong for dinner. The restaurant @ Promthep Cape cost a bomb.

Dinner @ Orange Restaurant – it’s fusion Western + local Thai food. The place is very clean.
