Phuket 4D3N Sep 2016 – Day 2 – Patong

By the time we got back to Phuket, it was early evening and we went to hunt for the Best Sticky Rice with Mango in Patong. It was recommended by another Malaysian in the same flight as ours, she comes to Phuket every year. I was apprehensive about companies that boast they were the best in x or y ..

After dinner, we wanted to go to night market nearby but it started drizzling and we must run to somewhere indoor! The nearest indoor was Jungceylon.

There was a booth that sold owl and knit bags, tissue cover, slingbags, backpack, scarves, etc. EVERYTHING THB100! So cheap!! Since there was power trip, a lot of the staffs were going to close shop early but after we hang out at this booth (didn’t manage to take any pic since it was dark), more ppl started to come and buy stuff. Poor lady couldn’t go home early. I almost wanted to buy all the owl bags. When I came back to Kuala Lumpur, I saw similar owl bags in Petaling Street (Chinatown) and they were priced at RM30+ (before bargain), which was more than double price but if I needed owl bags, I’d known where to go.

The mall looked grayish and not very.. not like what’s shown in the website but don’t judge a mall by it’s exterior. Inside, it has lots of THB100 booths and it’s quite big.

Saw Jungceylon by the roadside and it didn't look nice so I didn't go in. However, it started drizzling tonight after dinner and had to find cover. After toilet break, there was power trip. Lucky me, it happened when I wasn't in the toilet 😊 Turned out there are lots of booths that sell very good quality souvenirs like bags, candles and scarfs at THB100 EACH! The products are so much better and cheaper than the first souvenir shop our driver recommended (Richhome & Decor souvenirs). That Rich home must have big commission deals with travel agencies coz when we came out, there were several family cars w tourists. #phuket #patong #jungceylon #richhomendecorsouvenirs #souvenirs #sequinbag

Of course these are not pure silk but they are smooth and quite pretty. The lady was very pretty but wasn’t that friendly. The prices in Jungceylon are cheaper than in Bangkok for the same thing.
