Big Buddha is really big. When I read the 5 Precept, I thought how could I achieve #1? Be a vegetarian but I grow plants at home. I know plants are living beings that can grow or die. How can I keep on killing plants but not animals? Another way is to be a solar-human being but some people say the Sun is also a living force. How?
Deep 5 Precept. I must remind myself from time to time of this.. even though I’m not a pure Buddhist.

Big Buddha looking down on people. Entrance is this way. Exit is at the side, which goes to nearby toilet and gifts. The praying area is under the Big Buddha statue and it's under construction but chanting is on going inside. There is no food here, restaurants are at the street level below. #bigbuddha #chalong #phuket
Kamala Beach – I saw amazing sunset photo uploaded in Foursquare, so we decided we must come here! Walking beside the ditch/mini river from mainroad, the brickwall, sun and the trees make nice pics if you are into nostalgic/magical theme.
but the area we walked at the beach smelled weird, like garbage liquid and the sand was coarse :(
Last stop: Surin Beach. Someone’s having the whole beach for sunset..
Depending at the time, the sunset colours were different.
It was hard to get the right colours when the sun was setting.
Now I understand why some pics online appear like HDR without HDR settings.
Went back to Patong (last stop by taxi driver).
Dinner @ Night market in Patong. Heard cling cling clang clang.
This is at the open area in Jungceylon, connecting to .. either Robinsons or Big C. Yeah, we loved Jungceylon so much we came back and walked every aisle in Big C haha. Found more souvenir & craft booths.
Of all the places we went today, I’ll skip Kamala beach next time. Karon and Kata have quite nice sea water, waves and beaches but my favourite is still Nai Harn Beach because I love quiet places, not commercialized, nobody to bug you every few minutes to buy stuff or get massage, very clear + saturated blue-green water & soft sand.
